The gap in trainer education

A certification can teach information. It doesn’t always teach judgment.

Real clients do not arrive as textbook examples. Great coaches need a system for making decisions when goals, limitations, schedules and training histories collide.

01

Assess what matters.

Identify the needs, constraints and priorities that should shape the program.

02

Build with intention.

Understand exercise selection, sequencing, volume, intensity and progression.

03

Adapt in real time.

Coach the person in front of you without losing the purpose of the plan.

Founder and lead educator

Erik Schreiber, M.S.

Erik founded NSFTA to raise the standard of what it means to be a fitness professional. After more than 20 years in personal training, strength and conditioning and fitness leadership, he saw the same gap repeatedly: trainers had information, but lacked a practical system for applying it.

NSFTA bridges that gap with education built to work in actual gyms, with real clients, across populations and goals.
